Demonstration in State Palace Left 8 Cubic Meters of Trash

The demonstration which was held by thousands mass in State Palace, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (10/28) left about 8 cubic meters of trash. Predictably, such demonstration which held on Last Thursday (10/29) in the same location also left 8 cubic meters of trash.

Predictably, the trash volume left by demonstrators today would be as same as yesterday

Besides around State Palace, many trashes are also scattered around Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan. Even the location was used by demonstrators to park their vehicles. Consequently, Transjakarta bus route corridor II had to be diverted.

Demonstration, Vehicles Towards Jalan Merdeka Selatan Diverted

"Predictably, the trash volume left by demonstrators today would be as same as yesterday," said Vice Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Ali Maulana Hakim.

According to him, as many as 60 janitors, one small truck, 6 pick-up cars type kijang and one street sweeper car were deployed to clean the trashes.
